D. Networking and Collaboration within private sector

  • National Committee for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (NCRPWD)

(Education Sub-Committee)

ECDC is a member of ‘National Committee for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (NCRPWD)’ as delegate of volunteer group. In Education sub-committee ECDC was assigned as joint Secretary by the focal department.

 

  • Myanmar Community Based Rehabilitation Network (Myanmar CBR Network)

ECDC has actively involved to form this ‘Myanmar Community Based Rehabilitation Network (Myanmar CBR Network) in 2017. Now this network is functioning actively in the country.

 

  • Myanmar Special Education Association (MSEA)

In 2013 ‘Myanmar Special Education Association (MSEA)’ was formed by some special schools from Yangon. The official registration was granted in 2015 by Ministry of Home Affair. The association is mainly delivered special education teacher training and awareness training around the country. MSEA is the first and only association in its kind and the certificate offered by MSEA is endorsed by University of Wolverhampton and Department of Social Welfare (DSW). ECDC is currently chairing this organization since the beginning.

 

  • National Network for Education Reform (NNER)

From the beginning of this National Network for Education Reform (NNER) ECDC is actively involved to focus education for persons with disabilities, Inclusive Education sector. Managing Director if ECDC was elected as one of the patrons of this network.

 

  • Myanmar Federation for Persons with Disabilities (MFPD)

ECDC is always support and strengthen the role of ‘Myanmar Federation of Persons with Disabilities (MFPD)’ in Myanmar disability movement. ECDC involve actively in many ways even though ECDC is not entitle directly to MFPD as it is organization for persons with disabilities. Currently ECDC is a member of Education sub-committee and also in election committee as well.
